Observers are becoming ever harder to recruit at our trials. So starting from January 2017 we will be pulling names from a hat of G&DMCC Ltd members who are entered in the trial to observe just once per year. We feel that this is the fairest way as it is unfair for the same riders to give up their ride more than once in the year. If you can bring an observer or volunteer to observe at any of our regular trials that would be great.

George McGee

George is still in hospital but in good spirits. he now has an electric wheelchair/scooter and is terrorising the ward doing wheelies ,doughnuts etc. he is getting stronger and is taking some solid food. More when we have been to see him.

George now has all his feeding tubes etc removed and is taking solid food in the way of jacket potatoes and baked beans etc. Phyisio is going well and he continues to get stronger. It is just a matter of building up his muscle strength now. He is able to stand at the parallel bars for about twenty minutes with just his finger tips touching for balance. He is in very good spirits and says he is not coming out in a wheel chair he is going to walk out. He is looking forward to getting back into the trials scene.

Our AGM will be held on Thursday 6th October starting at 8pm.
If there is anyone out there who would like to join the committee there are still a few places available see Bill Filer or speak to any committee member or come along to the AGM.
George McGee

George has undergone an operation to secure some cracked vertebrae. He is likely to be in hospital a while.
We all wish him a speedy and full recovery.

Bill Filer.
Update. George is still in the High Dependency Unit in the Spinal ward at James Cook. Sheila and I visited him today Thursday 1st September. He has not been able to swallow proper food due to the swelling in his throat and neck where they operated on him but he is breathing unaided and without oxygen. He is in good spirits and has regained movement in his legs and arms. The nurses are going to try and sit him in a wheelchair so he can be a little more mobile. No engine though yet. He is in a very positive frame of mind and is talking about running more trials when he is discharged from hospital.
